Prices for U.S. imports advanced 0.4 percent in April following a 0.8-percent drop in March. Export prices increased 0.2 percent in April, after declining 0.6 percent the previous month. Over the past year, import prices decreased 4.8 percent and export prices fell 5.9 percent.
