TSMC, UMC see 1Q22 revenue hit record highs (digitimes.com)

 

TSMC and United Microelectronics (UMC) both saw their first-quarter revenue hit record highs of NT$491.08 billion (US$17 billion) and NT$63.42 billion, respectively.

 

TSMC 와 UMC는 2022년1분기 매출이 사상 최대 매출인 4910.8ㅇ억대만달러(약 19.64조원)와

634.2억대만달러(약 2.53조원)를 각각 달성.

 

TSMC's revenue for the first quarter of 2022 represented increases of 12.1% sequentially and 35.5% on year.

The foundry estimated previously first-quarter revenue at between US$16.6 billion and US$17.2 billion - a 7.4% sequential increase at the midpoint in US dollar terms.

 

TSMC의 2022년1분기 매출은 전분기대비  12.1%, 전년 동기대비 35.5% 증가했다.

US달러 기준으로는 전분기대비 7.4% 증가할 것으로 예상해었다.

 

TSMC reported March revenue went up 17% sequentially to NT$171.97 billion.

Fellow Taiwan-based pure-play foundry UMC has announced revenue of NT$22.14 billion for March 2022, up 6% on month and 33.2% on year. March revenue was also a record high for the sixth consecutive month.

 

TSMC의 3월 매출은 2월 매출대비 17% 증가한 1719.7억 대만달러(약6조8788억원)이다.

 

UMC's revenue for the first quarter of 2022 represented increases of 7.3% sequentially and 34.7% from a year earlier.

TSMC and UMC are scheduled to hold their quarterly earnings conference calls on April 14 and April 27, respectively, to release detailed results for the first quarter and provide their business outlook.
