마이크로소프트는 7월26(미국시간) ㅎ회계년도 4분기 실적 발표.

매출은 작년 동기대비 12.39% 증가한 518.7억달러, 주당순이익은 2.76% 증가한 2.23달러 달성.

 

 

 

Microsoft admits downturn has worsened since June warning, earnings and revenue miss expectations - MarketWatch

 

Microsoft Corp. missed expectations for profit and revenue in a Tuesday earnings report, as deteriorating economic conditions led to an even greater shock than expected when executives revised their guidance at the beginning of June.

Microsoft MSFT, -2.68% on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $16.74 billion, or $2.23 a share, up from $2.17 a share in the same quarter a year ago. Revenue increased to $51.87 billion from $46.15 billion in the year-ago quarter.

 

마이크로소프트는 화요일 악화하는 경제 환경으로 6월초에 회사가 수정했던 가이던스에도 못미치는

이익과 매출 실적을 발표.

4분기 순이익은 167.4억달러, 주당순이익은 2.23달러로  전년 동기 2.17달러보다 증가.

매출은 전년동기 461.5억달러보다 증가한 518.7억달러를 달성했다.

 

Analysts on average expected earnings of $2.29 a share on revenue of $52.38 billion, estimates that have come down since Microsoft reduced its forecast last month as a result of the strengthening dollar. Yet conditions have deteriorated even more since that warning.

시장 예상치 매출 523.8억달러, 주당순이익 2.29에 못미치는 실적이었다.

이는 지난달 초에 마이크로소프트가 강달러로인한 실적 예상치를 하향한후에도 못미치는 실적이었다.

회사의 경고이후에도 상황은 더 악화되었다.

 

“In the fourth quarter of fiscal-year 2022, evolving macroeconomic conditions and other unforeseen items had an impact on financial results beyond what was included in our forward-looking guidance,” Microsoft executives stated in their announcement.

 

Microsoft shares fell nearly 3% in after-hours trading immediately following the release of the results, but recovered to close to even later in the after-hours session. Shares closed with a 2.7% decline in the regular session at $251.90.

시간외 거래에서 3%가까이 하락하다가 회복되었다.

 

Microsoft’s stock tends to trade more on the company’s forecast than the results, as declines in after-hours trading flipped to increases in each of the past two quarters after the forecast was provided in executives’ conference calls.

Microsoft’s conference call is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Eastern.
